What's Happening at VCOC - January 6-12, 2025

And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ,. - Phil 1:9-10

Dear church family,

We had a great service last Sunday and we were honoured to have special guests Charles and Sarah Setiawan who are ministers in Jakarta, Indonesia, and parents of our very own Cesar! Charles preached on growing in Jesus and you can listen to his sermon here on YouTube.

Thread Series: God's People Blessed - Episode 32 - Saul

We are continuing with the final episodes in the Thread Series "God's People Blessed". This coming week we're focusing on the life of King Saul. From the Thread Podcast series:

Join us in a crucial conversation about spiritual leadership as we focus in on the life of Israel’s first king, Saul. In this episode, we delve into the profound topic of spiritual leadership by examining the life of Saul, the first king of Israel. We also discuss the inherent dangers of elevating kings and leaders, as warned by Yahweh, and how Saul’s lack of humility and spirituality led to his downfall. This episode highlights the critical distinction between worldly leadership and spiritual guidance and explores the continuing relevance of these lessons in modern faith communities.
