Recap from Feb 9th Sunday Sermon "Faith over Fear"

Tui, evangelist for the Seattle Church of Christ preached this Sunday on "Faith over Fear" - watch the sermon on YouTube. Tui's wife Kira shared as well. We're very grateful to have them over! Tui's main points were:

1. Having Faith over Fear - giving examples from the Book of Kings and the life of Jeroboam (1 Kings 11:26-40)
2. Practice Gratitude
3. Seek Support
4. Engage in Spiritual Practices

Sovann, Evangelist for Phnom Penh church in Cambodia, also shared powerfully about the work in Cambodia and being like Jesus, a Light in a world of Darkness.

SCOC Marriage Retreat: Rethinking the Meaning of Marriage: Human Fantasy VS God's Reality

Some couples enjoy an experience of relative bliss in their marriage. Others suffer from profound levels of relational pain and disillusionment. Wherever you find yourselves as a couple, it’s probably safe to say most of our disappointment in marriage comes from unmet expectations. Let's face it. Many of us married a fantasy. Some of what we hoped to be true, before we married the love of our life, gave way to a difficult reality; you married a flawed human! The good news is that this is actually part of God's plan to help us grow spiritually and bring glory to Him in our marriages. This class is designed to help you to reframe the meaning of marriage and find joy in the journey.
