Join us for a soul-nourishing contemplative retreat at Rivendell Retreat Centre on beautiful Bowen Island — a quiet sanctuary just a short ferry ride from Vancouver, yet a world away from the rush of daily life.
Set within forested hills overlooking the sea, this retreat invites you into stillness, silence, and deeper intimacy with God. Through spacious rhythms of prayer, reflection, and rest, we’ll create room to listen — not just with our ears, but with our hearts.
Our retreat's theme is "Intimacy with God". You’ll be welcomed at Rivendell, where the majestic views of the forest, sea and sky invite you into stillness with God. Your facilitators, Barish and Ana Golland and Jennifer Slovencik, will be offering 4 sessions on some prayer practices that help us connect with God. You will also have time to wander forest trails, sit in solitude, or simply gaze out at the beautiful nature surrounding Rivendell.
This is an opportunity to slow down, to be gently held in sacred space, and to deeply connect with the One who is always present — even when life feels too full to notice.

How are you faring on your journey? Some of us have been Christians for a very long time and others for only months. Whether young or old, spiritually present or blissfully unaware, all men are on a journey with God. Vancouver Church of Christ men's retreats have always been epic: great food, late-night gaming, friendly team challenges, and rich fellowship.
But what if God is calling you to the wilderness to deepen your journey with him? This year we have Dr. Robert Carrillo, who will help us to transform our walk with God so we can weather the path of life.
